VIDEO: Hanging With “The Diamond Princess”: Trina –

Trina is arguably the most successful female hip hip artist of the last decade, having scored a multitude of Billboard Top 10 albums, with even more Top 10 hits (It’s actually surreal how many songs she has created or been featured on that have been the hottest songs on mainstream radio over that time), and having collaborated with the biggest and brightest names in the business including Rick Ross, Missy Elliot, Diddy, Ludacris, T.I., Lil’ Wayne, Kelly Rowland, Trick Daddy, Chingy, Flo Rida, Monica, Mya, Keri Hilson, and sooo many more!! In an age where it is near to impossible for most artists to secure one hit record, she is releasing later this year her SIXTH album, being only the second female hip hop artist in history (Missy Elliot being the first) to release a SIXTH album, and it will feature a more pop/crossover sound with the likes of Gwen Stefani, Nelly, Melanie B., Rick Ross, and Trey Songz being featured. To prepare for the release of the new album, Trina released a mixtape entitled Diamonds Are Forever in March 2011 (I Linked it here, and already downloaded it for myself), and also released three singles from the mixtape, which includes “Ghetto” featuring T-Pain, “Waist So Skinny” featuring Rick Ross, and “Can I” featuring Mya. The mixtape was crazy successful, receiving 4.8 million views in just two days and her new hit single “Red Bottoms” (Which I’ve linked for download here) is crazy hot!! She has even been named The Most Consistent Female Rapper of All-Time by XXL Magazine!! And on top of all of the critical and box office success that she has achieved, she is also regarded as one of the hottest and sexiest women in hip hop, and I can tell you that in real life she is absolutely gorgeous and as cool as can be, and we talked off camera for a while about the “Fun” and “Creativity” that is going into making her new yet untitled album which will be out later this year and which will undoubtedly be another top 10 charter for the Baddest Chick in Hip Hop…

Here she does a private interview with “The King Of Kamelot” before a benefit appearance at the “Stop The Violence” rally in South Philadelphia where there was an estimated 10,000 people, and they absolutely exploded when they saw her come out of the tent and hit the stage right after our interview. I stayed and watched the performance, and all I can say is that she killed it and to know that it was for such a great cause made me of a fan not only of her music, but also of her as a person!! Here is our awesome interview where we discuss what it means to her to use her celebrity to help rally the people for such a good cause, what to expect on her new album, who has been the artist that has most blown her mind, how she stays fresh with her sound, and of course her most famous body part!! Enjoy Kade Nation!!!
